Stephen P. Blanchette, CFP®, AIF®
Stephen is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University's Smeal College of Business. In addition to a world-class education, he is most proud of his commitment and involvement in THON. THON is short for the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon. It is a yearlong effort that raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer and is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, having raised more than $101 million for the Four Diamonds Fund at the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital since 1977.
After graduating from Penn State, Stephen moved to New York City, where he worked for AllianceBernstein Investments, one of the largest institutional money managers in the world. This experience fostered his desire to work with families and individuals to help them work toward achieving their financial goals. In 2008, he joined Hughes Wealth Management Group, where he began focusing his career on that desire. With nearly a decade of wealth management experience, Stephen is able to create personalized solutions that positively and significantly affect each of his clients' financial futures. He and his team build long-term relationships based on trust, knowledge, industry experience, and the drive to do what's best for each client given his or her unique financial condition. He works step by step with clients to determine goals and risk profiles and then develops a tailor-made plan that is flexible to move with his clients' ever-changing financial situations.
In October of 2015 the firm was renamed The Blanchette Financial Group, Inc.
